The ipod is a testing ground for next gen iphone/ipod touch.
If this proves successful, all their devices will have the FM receiver and then the FM transmitter.  
Tivo/PVR did the same thing to TV Radio should have been way before it.  I am surprised you cannot do it already on a car stereo.
Radio stations will just have to get more  creative with their ad&#039;s and placement of voice ads.
The N97 has a receiver and transmitter for FM choonz. ( no recorder ) 
Give it time and all Nokia Phones will be able to record radio. Not sure why it has not been done already?  maybe the API is not available to the developers?</description>
